Over 49,000 Hajj Pilgrims Receive Medical Treatment in Madinah

ISLAMABAD: Over 49,000 pilgrims have received medical care services in seasonal health centres and facilities in Madinah Munawara since the commencement of the month of Dhul Qaeda.

Saudi Arabia’s health ministry is providing comprehensive medical care services to the hajj pilgrims during their stay in Madinah.

Since the commencement of the previous Hijri month, 43,445 pilgrims have received healthcare services in the seasonal health centres set up near the Prophet’s Mosque and in the central area, according to Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia.

Moreover, the emergency departments in hospitals have received to 5,654 pilgrims during the same period.

Medical services for hajj pilgrims

The medical services in Madinah Munawara have included 6 open-heart surgeries, 76 other surgeries, 88 cardiac catheterizations, and 134 dialysis sessions. 192,552 hajj pilgrims have received health education and awareness services in their shelters, shuttle buses, hotels, and public facilities.

These medical care facilities complement the comprehensive services by the government to ensure the high standards are met around the clock at all land and air arrival and departure during the Hajj season.
