COLOMBO: The health ministry’s national dengue control unit on Tuesday revealed that more than 38 deaths and 58,000 dengue cases have been reported in Sri Lanka this year.
The unit stated that the province in the country’s west had been the source of roughly half of the total dengue cases reported. The unit has selected 47 high-risk regions across the nation. According to official data, Sri Lanka reported over 76,000 dengue cases last year. —Xinhua/APP
