LAHORE: Iranian Consul General Mehran Mowahid Far stated that Iran acknowledges Pakistan’s industrial development and is eager to collaborate with various industries in the country.
During his visit to the head office of Pak Tractor Manufacturing Company in Lahore on Thursday, he noted that Lahore is not only a cultural hub but also an industrial center known for its quality and hard work.
Far highlighted that more than 20 Iranian companies will participate in the Pakistan Auto Show 2024, scheduled to take place at Expo Center Lahore this month. He emphasized that this event would provide both countries with an opportunity to share technology and expertise.
He mentioned that Iran has six major tractor-manufacturing companies that could collaborate with Pakistan on tractors and spare parts. Far also pointed out significant opportunities for Pakistani businesses in the Iranian market, particularly for tractor spare parts, which are in high demand in Iran.
Hamza Wazir, CEO of Pak Tractor Manufacturing Company, shared his experience of working with various Iranian companies in the past, supplying tractor spare parts and generators to Iran. He announced that a delegation from his company would soon visit Iran to gain firsthand knowledge of the Iranian tractor manufacturing industry.
Upon the arrival of the Iranian delegation, senior officials of Pak Tractor Manufacturing Company warmly welcomed them and conducted a detailed tour of the factory.
