ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) has declared 109 housing societies in different zones of Islamabad as illegal, State Minister for Interior Abdul Rehman Kanjo informed National Assembly on Monday.
Replying to a query from the Member of National Assembly Sheikh Rohail Asghar, the minister said that 5 societies were operating illegally in zone II, 27 in zone V and 77 in IV in the capital city.
47 societies are legal in Islamabad
He further said that as many 47 housing societies were legally working in the federal capital, after getting approval from the concerned authorities.
Out of these societies, twelve are working in Zone II, seven in Zone IV and twenty-three in Zone V in the E-11 Sector, he added. –APP
