KARACHI: The 1st Commander Karachi and 2nd Inter-Departmental Elite National Boxing Championship 2023 opening ceremony was held at Naval Physical and Sports Centre Karachi late Monday.
According to a media release, the Pakistan Navy organized the events. Pakistan has a stellar track record of success in every division of international boxing. The statement said, “Our country has earned enough honors thanks to our former athletes; we cherish those memories.”
According to a press statement, the Pakistan Navy holds the 1st Commander Karachi and 2nd Inter-Departmental Elite National Boxing 2023 in Karachi.
It is a milestone for the revival and promotion of boxing in Pakistan. To excel in boxing or any other game, giving the players the right opportunities is a prerequisite.
The Pakistan Boxing Federation (PBF) will serve as the umbrella organization for all future boxing tournaments, which will continue to promote boxing as a sport in Pakistan.
Force, Railways, KPT, Police, WAPDA, and PBF will compete in this competition. This competition will feature 104 male and 56 female boxers of national and international standing. —APP
