SRINAGAR: The people of the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir continue to endure immense suffering as a result of relentless violent cordon and search operations and house raids conducted by Indian troops and police personnel.
According to reports from Kashmir Media Service, these troops have been conducting massive search operations and house raids in various districts, including Srinagar, Baramulla, Bandipora, Kupwara, Pulwama, Shopian, Islamabad, Kulgam, Rajouri, and Poonch, subjecting local residents to severe harassment and distress.
Many residents have spoken out, describing the incursions into residential houses, the terrorization of inhabitants, and the vandalism of household goods as a living nightmare.
Leaders of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC), including Molvi Bashir Irfani, Bilal Siddiqi, Ghulam Muhammad Khan Sopori, Abdul Ahad, Fayaz Hussain Jafari, Syed Sibte Shabbir Qummi, Maulana Nisar Ahmed Nisar Qasmi, Shafiqul Rehman, and Maulana Musaib Nadvi, have issued statements in Srinagar, hailing the Kashmiri diaspora for observing October 27 as Black Day.
They applauded the peaceful protest demonstrations and rallies organized against India’s military invasion of Jammu and Kashmir in 1947. These leaders emphasized that the Kashmiri people have never accepted India’s illegal occupation and vowed to continue their struggle for freedom from Indian rule until they achieve complete success.
An APHC spokesperson in Srinagar also condemned the occupation authorities for repeatedly closing Jamia Masjid Srinagar and placing senior APHC leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house arrest. This action, according to the spokesperson, contradicts the authorities’ claims of “normalcy” in the region.
