ISLAMABAD: Khaas contemporary art gallery will screen the movie One-way Glass on 26 January, directed by Nauman Khalid.
The movie screening will be followed by a talk with Nauman Khalid and Irfan Ahmed Urfi.
The movie is a passion project for the filmmaker that has been a long time in the making. It is based on writer Irfan Ahmed Urfi’s book of short stories ‘Paon’ (feet), which was published in 2015.
One-way Glass tells the story of a hapless migrant Pakistani woman, who is stuck up in a violent situation. She is caught in the harsh realities of London, trying to make a living while also struggling through the tribulations and trials of her collapsing marriage.
Story of the movie
The movie’s story revolves around the vulnerabilities of the strong woman as she struggles with her marriage, work, faith, and attempts to find happiness. It represents the human condition, a tale of foibles and needs and the choices available in the face of adversity.
One-way Glass is an international project with filmmakers coming together from Turkey, Brazil, Germany, Colombia, Russia, Italy, Australia, UK, India and Pakistan.
