Islamabad—– One more dengue fever patient died in Islamabad on Friday, raising the death toll from the deadly disease to 7 in the Capital city this year.
According to the daily data released by the District Health Office, the three major public sector hospitals are flooded with the dengue fever patients and running to their full capacity. Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) have 478 patients, 111 in Poly Clinic whereas 57 are under treatment in Capital Development Hospital (CDA). During the last 24 hours, 104 new cases of dengue fever have been reported, taking the total number in Islamabad to 2863. The number of cases reported from the rural areas are slightly high from urban areas as reported 1658 from rural areas and 1178 from the urban areas.
