One Dead, 37 Wounded in China

TIANJIN: Local officials said on Friday that one person was killed and around 37 were wounded after a coach rear-ended a bus in north China’s Tianjin Municipality.

The district’s public security bureau said that the mishap happened at 6:37 a.m. Friday in Dongli District when the coach rear-ended the bus that was parked on the roadside because of malfunction, causing both vehicles to catch fire.

All of the wounded people have been shifted to hospitals for medical treatment. Officials said that the cause of the mishap is being probed.

Earlier, one person was killed and about 22 were injured in a gas explosion in northern China’s Hebei province. CCTV reported that the blast was suspected to have been caused because of a gas leak at a shop in Sanhe. Similarly, CGTN reported that the wounded were shifted to the hospital for medical treatment. _APP
