ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) ON Monday filed a new application to the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration, seeking permission to use several routes in Islamabad to reach Faizabad in Rawalpindi, where the party is holding a public rally and a sit-in on November 26.

The PTI application filed by Ali Nawaz said that a helicopter carrying the party chief, Imran Khan, will land and takeoff at Parade Ground. The PTI  chief will then proceed to Faizabad to join the party’s rally and for this purpose, several locations and routes of the federal capital should be allowed to be used, the PTI said.

Ali Nawaz Awan, the PTI Islamabad chapter president, submitted the request to the Islamabad district administration, seeking permission for the PTI’s public gathering in Faizabad on November 26.

Imran Khan will travel from Lahore to Islamabad via helicopter and land at Parade Ground before leaving for Faizabad. Although the application did not specify whether the rally would be a one-day gathering or a sit-in, the intention was clear that the rally on November 26 can be converted into a sit-in. As part of its strategy to keep its cards close to its chest, the PTI has left the option open.
