ISLAMABAD: As China celebrates its 75th founding anniversary on Tuesday, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has extended his warmest felicitations to President Xi Jinping, Prime Minister Li Qiang, and the Chinese people.
Annually observed on October 1st, China’s National Day commemorates Mao Zedong’s official proclamation of the establishment of the People’s Republic of China on the day in 1949.
In a statement via social media, Prime Minister Shehbaz stated that Islamabad was proud of China’s remarkable achievements and progress under President Xi Jinping’s visionary leadership.
“China and Pakistan are iron brothers. Our All-Weather Strategic Cooperative Partnership continues to grow from strength to strength. China and Pakistan are completely committed to ensuring the success of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the flagship project of the Belt and Road Initiative,” the PM remarked.
He also reaffirmed the resolve that Islamabad would continue to work closely with Beijing to further strengthen its bilateral relations across all spheres, and promote regional stability, peace, and prosperity.
