Oman to Strengthen Bilateral Trade Cooperation with Pakistan Through SIFC

ISLAMABAD: A high-level delegation of the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Investment Promotion of the Sultanate of Oman visited Pakistan.

Led by Ibtisam Al Faruji, Oman’s Under Secretary for Investment Promotion, the delegation included representatives from diverse public and private sectors.

During their visit, the delegation engaged in Government-to-Government (G2G) and Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings, focusing on strategic positions within Pakistan facilitated by SIFC and the Ministry of Commerce.

The delegation received detailed briefings on investment opportunities across various sectors and discussed policy measures aimed at enhancing Pakistan’s investment climate.

The Omani delegates interacted with Pakistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Trade and private enterprises to explore potential trade and investment prospects.

They also expressed keen interest in Pakistan’s latest initiatives, such as the Land Information and Management System and projects under the Green Pakistan Initiative, managed by SIFC.

The delegation expressed confidence in SIFC’s initiatives and expressed readiness to further explore investment opportunities in Pakistan through both G2G and B2B frameworks.

This inaugural visit from Oman provided an exceptional platform for business communities from both nations to network and seek collaboration opportunities. The visit is expected to foster bilateral cooperation and create new avenues for economic partnership between the two friendly countries.
