NEW YORK: After experiencing massive success with her debut album “Sour” and the chart-topping single “Drivers License,” Olivia Rodrigo has candidly shared her apprehension about returning to the spotlight with her upcoming album, revealing that the process can be a “scary thing.”

Speaking with Zane Lowe on New Music Daily on Apple Music 1, Olivia Rodrigo reflected on her journey and the heightened expectations that accompany her next release. She expressed that the first time around, she was fueled by adrenaline, experiencing the exhilaration of her debut album’s success. “A lot of this album is about the confusion that comes with becoming a young adult and figuring out your place in this world. Figuring out who you want to be and who you want to hang out with and all of that stuff,” Rodrigo explained. She also acknowledged that her experiences had evolved since her debut album, pushing her to explore new creative avenues in her songwriting.
