OIC Strongly Condemns Holy Qur’an Mutilation in The Hague

JEDDAH: The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Wednesday strongly condemned in the strongest terms the mutilation of a copy of the Holy Qur’an by an extremist in The Hague, Netherlands.

The OIC General Secretariat renewed the organization’s condemnation of such extremist and provocative practices that manifest Islamophobia and exemplify hatred, which incite violence and defamation of religions.

OIC condemns religious intolerance

The General Secretariat expressed deep concern over the continued manifestation of religious intolerance and hatred against Muslims in several parts of the world. OIC urged the Governments of the countries concerned to take necessary steps to address those acts.

The OIC General Secretariat emphasized the significance of encouraging dialogue, cooperation, and understanding among civilizations, religions, and cultures while shunning extremism and hatred to achieve peace and harmony worldwide.
