JEDDAH: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation has expressed its strong condemnation for the desecrating and attacking of the courtyards of the holy Al-Aqsa Mosque by extremist ministers in the Israeli occupation government and settler groups, and members of the Israeli parliament, under the shield of the Israeli occupation forces, and performing their racist Talmudic rituals in its courtyards, OIC said on Thursday.
OIC Strongly Condemns Continued Israeli Intrusions into Al-Aqsa Mosque
In a press statement, the OIC said that it considered this as an extension of the repeated violations by Israel, the occupying force, of the freedom of worship, sanctity of Holy Shrines and a blatant violation of international law and Geneva Conventions.
The OIC also condemned the so-called “flag march” arranged by settlement associations inside the neighborhoods of the occupied city of Al-Quds, emphasizing that the city forms an integral part of the Palestinian territory occupied in 1967. It is also the capital of the State of Palestine, and all verdicts and actions taken by the Israeli occupation to Judaize it have no lawful effect and are considered null and void as per international law and resolutions of global legitimacy.
Furthermore, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation held the Israeli occupation government completely responsible for the consequences of the continuation of these systematic assaults, which constitute an incitement to the feelings of Muslims across the world and would fuel religious conflict, instability, and extremism in the region. It also renewed its call to the world to assume its responsibility and intervene to put an end to these serious Israeli violations and to reserve the historical and legal status of Islamic and Christian sanctities in the occupied city of Al-Quds.
