JEDDAH: The Organization of Islamic Conference Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Afghanistan, Ambassador Tarig Ali Bakhit has held a meeting with Afghan interim Minister for Foreign Affairs Mawlawi Amir Khan Muttaq in Kabul, OIC said in a press statement on Wednesday.

According to the statement, they exchanged views on the results of the tour of the delegation of Islamic scholars to Kabul, which also held several meetings with Afghan officials and scholars on matters of utmost significance to the organization, such as tolerance, girls’ education, and women’s jobs.

During the interaction, they discussed the OIC’s efforts in the development sector in Afghanistan within the context of the Humanitarian Trust Fund at the Islamic Development Bank and the humanitarian actions of the organization’s office in Afghanistan’s capital, Kabul, sponsored by King Salman Center in cooperation with Afghan Red Crescent.
They also discussed other economic and political matters that establish a priority for the organization in the context of following up on the execution of the resolutions of the Council of Foreign Ministers about the situation in Afghanistan.
