JEDDAH: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly denounced the suicide attack in central Somalia that killed and injured many innocent people, Arab media reported on Sunday.
OIC Secretary-General, Hissein Brahim Taha in a statement expressed his strong condemnation of this heinous terrorist attack that took place in the city of Beledweyne in central Somalia.
He extended his condolences to the families of the victims and the government and people of Somalia. He also wished a speedy recovery to those injured in the attack.
The death toll from a truck bombing in central Somalia has risen to 21 on Sunday, as rescue workers continue their efforts.

The disturbing incident occurred on Saturday when a suicide bomber hit a truck loaded with explosives toward a security checkpoint in the town of Beledweyne.
The explosion not only destroyed nearby buildings but also trapped residents and left dozens injured.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud of Somalia has condemned the attack and reiterated his commitment to eradicate the Al-Shabaab militants who have been waging an insurgency against the country’s central government for past 15 years.
