JEDDAH: Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), has met Dr. Zuhair Ghoneim, Secretary-General of the International Union of Muslim Scouts (IUMS), at the headquarters of the General Secretariat.
According to a news release issued by the OIC on Tuesday the visit provided an opportunity for the IUMS Secretary-General to review the activities implemented recently and the future programs planned by the Union, including holding of a youth forum on dialogue and moderation.
The Secretary-General lauded the IUMS efforts and activities, especially in the field of promoting a culture of tolerance, enhancing readiness in fighting extremist ideology that leads to terrorism, and engaging youth in the development process in member countries.

The Secretary-General called for activating collaboration between the IUMS with the General Secretariat, especially with the Department of Youth and Sports.
