ISLAMABAD: Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, received Dr. Abdullah Al Washmi, Secretary General of the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language, his delegation, and Dr. Saleh Bin Hamad Al Suheiban, Permanent Representative of Saudi Arabia to the OIC.
They met on the sidelines of the celebration of the World Arabic Day for the Muslim Ummah organized by the General Secretariat of OIC in collaboration with the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language at the OIC General Secretariat.
OIC, Academy to promote Arabic language
Both sides discussed ways to expand cooperation between the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and the Academy, including joint action with various partners to promote and support the presence of the Arabic Language at all international fora. They also exchanged views on how to cooperation to strengthen the identity and solidarity of the Islamic Ummah.
Both sides agreed to carry on efforts to develop a vision for creating programs and activities that would contribute to achieving their common objectives.
