JEDDAH: The OIC Secretary-General, Hissein Brahim Taha has met with Minister of External Relations of the Republic of Cameroon, Lejeune Mbella Mbella at his residence in Yaoundé and discussed preparations and arrangements for the launch of the 50th CFM Session.
According to an OIC statement on Thursday, the Secretary-General thanked for the warm welcome and generous hospitality extended to the OIC delegation since their arrival in Cameroon. He praised the efforts invested by the Republic of Cameroon for the organization of the 50th CFM Session.
– The 50th session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) kicks off in the Cameroonian capital, Yaoundé, on August 29, 2024.

The Minister thanked the Secretary-General and to the OIC General Secretariat for the work accomplished during the preparatory meetings for this session. He also expressed hope that the CFM session in Yaoundé will be an opportunity to reach agreements on all issues of concern to Islamic world, indicating that he will pursue efforts to ensure the Yaoundé session will have full consensus among Member States on all issues.
