JEDDAH: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has appreciated the sacrifices and efforts of humanitarian workers to save the lives of others worldwide, Arab media reported on Saturday.
In a statement in connection with World Humanitarian Day, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation said the Islamic world is also facing several humanitarian challenges and issues and called for more efforts to mitigate their impact.

OIC Lauds Aid Workers on Humanitarian Day
The OIC reaffirmed its pledge to promote and coordinate united Islamic humanitarian action based on Islamic norms and values. The Organization of Islamic Cooperation aims to resolve humanitarian challenges by coordinating relief efforts with member nations, and relevant organizations and departments, especially the Islamic Solidarity Fund. It also assembles resources for humanitarian assistance and constitutes strategic partnerships in line with the OIC’s objectives and principles.
