JEDDAH: The OIC General Secretariat delegation observed the Mozambique elections that took place on October 9, 2024.
The Mozambican government had invited a delegation of observers to observe the presidential, parliamentary, and gubernatorial elections.
The delegation met with Carlos Matsinda, President of the National Election Authority of Mozambique, to discuss election preparations and explore opportunities for future collaboration between the OIC and Mozambique in this critical area.
During its mission, the delegation visited several polling stations, allowing them to observe the electoral process across three stages: pre-polling preparations, polling day, and vote counting.
