JEDDAH: The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned the provocative act of desecration of a copy of the holy Quran in front of the Embassies of some OIC Member nations in The Hague, the Netherlands, the OIC statement said on Sunday.

According to the statement of the OIC, the General Secretariat of OIC reaffirmed the stance of the OIC as stated by the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers in the resolution it approved at its 18th Extraordinary meeting, held on 31 July 2023.
The OIC General Secretariat asked the Dutch government to take necessary steps against such provocative acts, which constitute acts of religious hatred, in violation of global law, and to stop their recurrence.
