OIC Chief Receives ICYF President

JEDDAH: Hissein Brahim Taha, Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), has hosted Taha Ayhan, President of the Islamic Cooperation Youth Forum (ICYF), at the OIC’s General Secretariat headquarters and discussed matters of mutual interest, a statement of the OIC said.

As per the press release of the OIC, during the meeting with the Secretary-General, Ayhan provided a comprehensive overview of the ICYF activities and events in last year. He also outlined the ICYF future plans and programs for the 2024, as well as its next initiatives in the Sahel region.

The OIC chief commended the efforts of the ICYF in the area of youth empowerment within the Islamic world and the important strides towards building the capacities and skills of young people, contributing to the sustainable development of their societies.

During the meeting, they emphasized the importance of enhancing collaboration between the General Secretariat and the ICYF to enable the latter to effectively conduct its responsibilities and achieve its desired objectives.
