JEDDAH: Chief of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hissein Brahim Taha, and Palestinian Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral Relations, Ambassador Ammar Hijazi, and discussed serious developments in the Occupied Palestinian territory.
The OIC Secretary-General received the Palestinian Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Multilateral Relations in his office.
They discussed the dangerous escalation of crimes, violations, and massacres committed by the Israeli occupation forces against the innocent Palestinian people and their land and sanctities, particularly the continuous Israeli attacks on the sanctity of the city of Al-Quds and the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque through which the Israeli colonial occupation administration seeks to expand its colonial regime on the Palestinian land, using racial discrimination and the tools of oppression, and killing.
The two sides also discussed the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and Member States’ efforts to confront the Israeli aggressions.
OIC Secretary-General stresses centrality of Palestine issue
The OIC Secretary-General stressed the centrality of the issue of Al-Quds Al-Sharif and Palestine and that it comes high on the OIC priorities and its movements, reaffirming the Organization’s commitment to providing all forms of support to the people of Palestine and their legitimate rights, including the establishment of a sovereign and independent Palestinian State on the borders of June 4, 1967, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
