JEDDAH: Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Hissein Brahim Taha, received His Eminence Allahshukur Pashazadeh, the Mufti of Azerbaijan and the Caucasus region and his accompanying delegation at the OIC General Secretariat in Jeddah.
The Mufti of Azerbaijan hailed the historical cooperation between the OIC and Azerbaijan and expressed gratitude and appreciation for the OIC’s stances in support of just causes of Azerbaijan, particularly on the issue of the Armenian occupation of the Nagorno Karabakh region in the past.

His Eminence conveyed to the OIC Secretary-General the appreciation and compliments of the President of Azerbaijan, President Ilham Aliyev.
Both sides agreed to continue efforts to promote cooperation between Azerbaijan and the OIC General Secretariat in all fields, strengthen Islamic identity and solidarity, and support peaceful coexistence with other religions.
