JEDDAH: The Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Mr. Hissein Brahim Taha, on Wednesday met with Mr. Ali Bagheri Kani, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, OIC said in a statement.
The meeting took place in the OIC Secretary-General’s office at the General Secretariat headquarters in Jeddah.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed regional developments and issues of common interest. The Acting Iranian Foreign Minister affirmed Iran’s support for the OIC and its primary cause, the Palestinian cause. For his part, the Secretary-General stressed the priority that the Palestinian cause enjoys on the OIC agenda.
