The Prime Minister urged all sectors to collaborate for a comprehensive approach to disaster management, stressing the need for effective coordination, contingency planning, and risk communication.

He outlined key initiatives to enhance resilience, including safe infrastructure development, disaster preparedness, poverty alleviation, responsible land use, adherence to building codes, efficient water management, sustainable agriculture, and increased afforestation.

Shehbaz Sharif also acknowledged the invaluable support from the international community, civil society, and private philanthropy in responding to the recent floods. He celebrated the spirit of generosity among the Pakistani people and reaffirmed the commitment to face future challenges united.

National Resilience Day serves as a call to action for renewed dedication to disaster preparedness and sustainable development, ensuring a safer future for all.
