ISLAMABAD: People in the Baramulla district of the illegally-occupied Jammu and Kashmir staged a protest march against the government’s anti-people policies.
According to KMS, the people of Bangdara in the Kreeri section of the district protested against the Water and Power Department for failing to provide the community with enough drinking water.
The protesters, who were toting empty pots, asked that the department take responsibility for its inability to guarantee a steady drinking water supply. They blocked a street to express their displeasure.
They said that despite a severe lack of clean drinking water in their community for several months, the responsible department was indifferent to their sufferings.
A local resident claimed they were forced to drink polluted water, which unavoidably harmed their health. —APP
