SRINAGAR, Occupied Kashmir: The Muttahida Majlis-e-Ulama (MMU) in Jammu and Kashmir has strongly criticized the registration of a case against its member and religious leader, Agha Syed Hassan Al Moosvi Al-Safavi.
The case alleges the spreading of religious animosity, a charge vehemently rejected by the MMU.
Agha Syed Hassan Al Moosvi Al-Safavi has been known for his efforts to promote sectarian unity and communal harmony in the region. The MMU emphasized that summoning him on such charges is without merit, as the religious leader has consistently played a pivotal role in maintaining peace, order, and mutual brotherhood.
The statement issued by the MMU further highlighted Agha Moosvi’s significant contributions to peace efforts, particularly after an incident in the Sumbal area. The MMU contends that the religious leader’s actions have consistently aimed at fostering unity and harmony.
In response to the case, the MMU calls for the withdrawal of charges against Agha Syed Hassan Al Moosvi Al-Safavi, asserting that there is no justification for such legal action against a religious figure actively working towards peace and communal understanding.
