SRINAGAR: The APHC leadership has voiced deep distress regarding the ongoing incidents of violence, house raids, detentions, and other violations of human rights carried out by the Modi government in the Indian-occupied region of Jammu and Kashmir.

As reported by Kashmir Media Service, the leadership issued a statement in Srinagar where they paid their respects to the recently martyred young individuals in Kulgam and Kupwara. They also condemned the wrongful arrests of Kashmiri youth during house raids in the valley, emphasizing that these sacrifices would not be in vain.

The leadership reaffirmed their commitment to the struggle for freedom and called upon the people to stand united against the acts of state-sponsored terrorism and unlawful occupation by the Indian government.

Furthermore, they appealed to international bodies such as the UN, EU, OIC, and major global powers, including the United States and China, to step forward and facilitate a resolution to the Kashmir conflict in accordance with UN resolutions. The participants cautioned that the Hindutva policies of the Modi administration in the Muslim-majority region of Jammu and Kashmir could lead to a catastrophe in the South Asian region.

The party expressed profound concern for the condition of Kashmiri political detainees held in various Indian and Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir prisons. They urged human rights organizations to take note of the detainees’ suffering and to take necessary measures to alleviate their plight.
