ISLAMABAD: The National University of Technology (NUTECH) has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Karachi Chamber of Commerce, aiming to increase its exports fourfold.
NUTECH, Pakistan’s first University for Industry Technology, is focused on preparing a skilled workforce in various technology fields through innovative short courses tailored for the new tech-driven industrial revolution, serving both domestic and international markets.
NUTECH Karachi Campus has already launched a program that sends nine youths to Japan, with the potential to quadruple Pakistan’s exports. Furthermore, the campus is poised to provide skilled manpower to Germany, which has a demand for seven million workers. The event was attended by several dignitaries, including retired Naval General Moazzam Ijaz, who emphasized the significance of training in creating employment opportunities.
NUTECH Secures 50 Acres for Campus
Rector Muazaam Ijaz stated that the University of Technology has acquired 50 acres of land for its campus, marking a crucial step for Pakistan’s first University for Industry Technology.
Zubair Motiwala, Major General Retired Khalid Javed, and Brigadier Adnan Retired, among others, also participated in the event organized by the Karachi Chamber of Commerce. The event’s objective is to promote local industries, empower industrial development, and stimulate economic growth, making it a pivotal development for both the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and NUTECH University.
