DHAKA: Wicketkeeper-batter Quazi Nurul Hasan Sohan has made a comeback to Bangladesh’s T20I squad after nearly three years, as the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced its 16-member team for the upcoming Asia Cup 2025.
Litton Das will lead the squad, which features key senior players like Mustafizur Rahman and Taskin Ahmed. Before heading into the Asia Cup in September, Bangladesh will face the Netherlands in a three-match T20I series later this month as part of their preparation.
Nurul Hasan’s return is the most notable inclusion. The 31-year-old last played a T20I for Bangladesh during the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia.
The BCB also named four standby players for the tournament: Soumya Sarkar, Mehidy Hassan Miraz, Tanvir Islam, and Hasan Mahmud.
Bangladesh has been placed in Group B for the Asia Cup, alongside Afghanistan, Hong Kong, and Sri Lanka.
