ISLAMABAD: Kishmala Talat, a student hailing from the Media and Communication Studies Department at the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), has secured a bronze medal in the 10m Air Pistol Women event at the Asian Games.
This historic victory not only marks a personal milestone for Kishmala but also stands as Pakistan’s inaugural medal in the field of Shooting at the 19th Asian Games, held in Hangzhou, China.
Pride for NUML and Pakistani Nation
Major General (Retd) Muhammad Jaffar, the Rector of NUML, in a statement released on Saturday, said it is a momentous achievement for both the student and the nation. He emphasized that it fills the university with immense pride to have played a part in nurturing such talent.

It’s worth noting that Kishmala had recently received recognition in the form of the High Achievers Award, along with appreciation from the esteemed Rector, further bolstering her journey as an athlete. She has also been a recipient of the IOC Olympic Solidarity Scholarship for Athletes, underscoring her dedication to sports excellence.
