Berlin should be “sending more arms, ammunition, and giving more money to Kyiv, as Germany is the richest and the biggest country by far,” the polish PM said.

The prime minister said that they were not as generous as they should have been, adding he is still encourage them to do so.

“I am not assaulting them,” the Polish Prime Minister said, “I am just telling the reality.”

Mateusz Morawiecki acknowledged that Berlin has made several policy changes — which also include huge investments to modernize its army and withdrawing a prohibition on sending arms into a war zone. In fact, he underlined Germany’s decision to provide Leopard battle tanks to Kyiv.

He added that 3 months ago, Berlin said it is impossible, now, it is possible,” the Polish PM said, “so they are changing their position and approach.”

He also pointed a finger at Berlin’s previous energy policies, which were heavily dependent on importing Moscow gas, arguing it led European nations down a dangerous track.

He further said that Germany made a dramatic mistake of being fully dependent in their business model on Russia with remnant fuels and “we were asking them not to do so.

The prime minister claimed that he had discussed his views on German support for Kyiv with German Chancellor as well.
