ISLAMABAD: A Norwegian female mountaineer and her Nepali guide set the record on Thursday for the fastest summit of all fourteen of the world’s eight thousand-meter mountains, their team announced in a statement.
Kristin Harila and Tenjin Sherpa achieved the feat in 3 months and one day after scaling K2 in Pakistan’s K2, the last summit on their quest.
The team statement said that the record reflects their teamwork, unwavering determination, and sheer tenacity throughout this monumental quest.
It added that collaboration between Harila and Lama has shown the importance of transcending borders and cultures and mountaineering unity to achieve success together.
Duo Breaks Record
The duo broke Nepal-born British mountaineer Nirmal Purja’s record of 6 months and six days, set in 2019.
