SEOUL, South Korea: North Korea has positioned 250 new ballistic missile launchers near the South Korean border, with a reported range of 110 km, capable of targeting regions south of Seoul, including Chungcheong Province.
These missile systems, touted by state media as being personally designed by Kim Jong Un, are seen as a direct threat to Seoul.
However, South Korean intelligence officials express doubt over North Korea’s ability to produce sufficient missiles for these launchers while simultaneously supplying weapons to Russia.
This comes amid ongoing allegations by South Korea and the US that North Korea is aiding Russia’s military efforts in Ukraine, claims both Pyongyang and Moscow deny.
