Pyongyang: North Korea’s latest attempt to send a spy satellite into the orbit has ended into failure, AFP reported on Thursday.
This was Pyongyang’s second failed attempt to launch a satellite into space. As per media report the spy satellite developed problems as it reached the third stage.

North Korea Confirms Spy Satellite Launch, a Failure
Korea State media said that the flights of the first and second stages of the rocket were normal, but the launch failed due to an error in the emergency blasting system in the third-stage flight.
North Korea said the accident is not a big issue and another attempt to launch the spy satellite into space would be made in October.
Meanwhile, a State Department spokesperson in a statement has said that North Korea’s attempted satellite launch violated U.N. Security Council resolutions.
The United States called upon North Korea to refrain from carrying out threatening activities and follow the path of diplomacy.
The launch was first reported by the Japanese government, which said Pyongyang had used ballistic missile technology through the country’s airspace near Okinawa.

Pyongyang on Tuesday conveyed Japan’s coast guard about launching of satellite between August 24 and 31. Japan soon after the development moved its ships and put its PAC-3 missile defense system on alert in case anything was to land in its territory.
The launch comes just after leaders from Washington, Seoul and Tokyo met at Camp David in the United States, following the start of major US-South Korea joint military exercise on Monday.
