ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) clarified on Monday that no name had been finalized yet for the position of Pakistan’s caretaker prime minister.

Addressing a press conference alongside PPP leader Faisal Karim Kundi, senior PPP leader Sherry Rehman asserted that the party had not been consulted on the choice of the interim prime minister, emphasizing the need for equal opportunity in the upcoming general elections amid economic challenges faced by the country.

Faisal Karim Kundi, supporting Rehman’s statement, denied the reports of any meeting being held in Dubai. He reiterated the PPP’s demand for holding elections in accordance with the law and the constitution and stated that the party was fully prepared for the elections, hoping for their timely conduct.
