ISLAMABAD: Chief Awami Muslim League (AML) Sheikh Rashid Ahmed has said that he was not on talking terms even with ex-accountability czar Shahzad Akbar as he responded to the notice sent by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in connection with the probe into the Al-Qadir Trust case.
In his reply submitted to the NAB in the Al-Qadir Trust case, Rashid said, “I have no information and evidence with regard to Al-Qadir Trust”. Sharing a copy of his reply to the NAB on Twitter, the PTI ally said that he had left the cabinet meeting held on 13-12-2019 before the matter pertaining to the Al-Qadir Trust case was taken up.
Rashid added that he had “strained relations” with ex-accountability czar Shahzad Akbar and was “not even on talking terms with him”. “I have no evidence or document in my possession with regard to Al-Qadir Trust Case,” he added.
