ISLAMABAD: PTI leader Barrister Gohar has claimed that no assembly session could be convened without notifying reserved seats. Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Barrister Gohar said, “The Punjab Assembly session was carried out in an illegal way. The Sindh Assembly session was also carried out in an illegal manner.” He said, “If the National Assembly session is called that will also be illegal as the assemblies should be convened following all the members of the House are notified.”
No Assembly Session can be Convened Without Notifying Reserved Seats: Barrister Gohar
Gohar said that the reserved seats belong to SIC and no political party can lay claim. He urged the Election Commission of Pakistan to allot reserved seats to the SIC. He asked the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to take notice of this and notify the reserved seats for the SIC. He said that the people have given their mandate, and expressed hopes that the ECP would listen to “what the people voted for on Feb 8”.
On the other hand, Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) leader Azam Nazeer Tarar blasted SIC for seeking reserved seats in the assemblies. Speaking to the media in Islamabad, Azam Nazeer Tarar criticized the SIC for expecting reserved seats in the National Assembly of Pakistan. He said that this is a party that didn’t contest polls, didn’t win even a single seat, and they are claiming they have the right to reserved seats due to a bunch of independent candidates joined them.
