QUETTA: Nine terrorists were killed and three arrested during security forces search operation in Siah Koh area Kohlu district of Balochistan province, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Saturday.
According to ISPR, the security forces conducted intelligence-based operation against the BLA (H) terrorists in the Siah Koh area of Kohlu. The operation started at 6 am today, ISPR added.
ISPR said that there was a fierce exchange of fire between the terrorists and the security forces. During the exchange of fire, nine terrorists were killed while three were arrested in injured condition, ISPR said. The search operation of the security forces in the area is still going on.
The Terrorists were Preparing for Attacks in Kohlu, Kahan, and Mewand
Intelligence agencies were on the lookout for these terrorists since the September 30, 2022, blast in Kohlu Bazaar that left two passers-by dead and 19 injured, ISPR said.
ISPR said that the BLA (H) and its terrorists were involved in kidnapping for ransom, extortion, and attacks on security forces in the region.
The terrorists were involved in targeting engineers and laborers working on the development projects in Balochistan, ISPR said.
ISPR said that the terrorists were now preparing for attacks in Kohlu, Kahan, and Mewand.
