ISLAMABAD: Nine khwarij, belonging to the Indian Proxy Fitna Al Khwarij, were killed in two separate operations conducted by security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province.

On December 5, following intelligence reports of khwarij presence, an intelligence-based operation was launched by the security forces in Tank District. During the operation, security forces engaged the khwarij at their location, resulting in an intense firefight. Seven khwarij were successfully neutralised during the exchange.

In a subsequent intelligence-based operation in Lakki Marwat District, security forces engaged the remaining two khwarij. In the ensuing firefight, the two were effectively neutralised by the security forces.

Conducting sanitisation operations

Weapons and ammunition were recovered from the bodies of the killed khwarij, who had been actively involved in various terrorist activities, including attacks on security forces, law enforcement agencies, and the targeted killings of innocent civilians.

Security forces are currently conducting sanitisation operations in the area to eliminate any other khwarij linked to foreign-sponsored terrorism.

This is part of the ongoing Counter-Terrorism campaign under the vision “Azm e Istehkam,” approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan.

The campaign aims to eradicate the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from Pakistan, with security forces and law enforcement agencies committed to continuing their efforts at full pace.
