NIH Reports 13 New Covid-19 Cases in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: National Institute of Health (NIH) of Pakistan on Sunday reported thirteen new cases of Covid-19 during the last twenty-four hours in Pakistan.

According to NIH, the Covid-19 positivity ratio is 0.25%, while twenty-nine patients were in critical condition. During the last 24 hours, 5262 cases were conducted, and no death was reported.

NIH efforts to contain virus

Abdul Qadir Patel, Federal Minister for National Health Services, lauded the efforts of all stakeholders, the National Institute of Health, vaccination teams, healthcare staff, and administration working across the country despite multiple challenges.

He advised all regions and provinces to administer booster doses to consolidate protection against the virus transmission. Patel said that because of the global pandemic situation, the Central Health Establishment (CHE) would be strengthened to improve its functionality further.

He emphasized the importance of Covid-19 precautions, including mask-wearing and social distancing.

He also stressed strictly following the guidelines for the management of markets. –APP
