MAKURDI, Nigeria: According to the Nigerian Air Force, a plane crashed on Friday in the central city of Makurdi while on a normal training exercise, but no one was killed.
The two pilots survived after successfully ejecting from the aircraft, and no lives or property were lost or damaged at the accident site, according to air force spokesman air commodore Edward Gabkwe in a statement.
The pilots are being treated at an air force hospital in Makurdi, 184 kilometres (114 miles) east of Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, while air force authorities investigate the cause of the crash, he said.
