ISLAMABAD: To redress the flood effects on the farmers, the National Flood Response Coordination Centre (NFRCC) has advised the Ministry of Food Security and the provinces to immediately resolve the procurement and distribution of seeds among farmers for the Rabi crop.
The National Flood Response Coordination Centre meeting was held under the Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal and National Disaster Management Authority Chairman Lieutenant General Akhtar Nawaz here on Monday.
The meeting was briefed on water drainage measures in the flood-affected areas. It discussed the ongoing joint survey in flood-hit parts of the country. The inflow and outflow of water in rivers and dams also came under discussion.
NFRCC National Coordinator Lt. Gen Zafar Iqbal, Officials of the Ministry of Food Security, and Provincial Secretaries of Agriculture were also in the meeting.
