Iftikhar’s Effort in Vain as New Zealand Win Final ODI

KARACHI: New Zealand won against Pakistan by 47 runs in the final ODI in Karachi. Iftikhar Ahmad made 94 runs against the visitors in the final ODI.

Fakhar Zaman scored 33 runs with the help of five boundaries.  New Zealand Henry Shipley took three wickets in the match.

Earlier, New Zealand made 299 runs in the 5th ODI against Pakistan in Karachi. Pakistan fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi took three while Shadab Khan dismissed three batters of the New Zealand.

New Zealand side made four changes, bringing in Rachin Ravindra, Adam Milne, Henry Nicholls, and Henry Shipley for Daryl Mitchell, James Neesham, Blair Tickner and Ben Lister from the last game.

Pakistan have already clinched an impregnable 4-0 lead in the 5-match series, brought back Shadab in place of M Haris. The match is Pakistan skipper Babar Azam’s 100th ODI, having started his career against Zimbabwe in 2015.
