ISLAMABAD: The Federal Directorate of Education (FDE) has announced the summer and winter timings for the upcoming academic year of schools and colleges.
Summer season
In accordance with the formal notice released by FDE’s Academics Wing, single-shift colleges and schools will be open from 8 am to 2 pm from Monday to Thursday and from 8 am to 12:30 pm on Friday during the summer.
In institutions with evening shifts, the morning shift will be functional from 8 am to 1:30 pm on Monday to Thursday while the second shift will be open from 1:30 pm to 7 pm. Meanwhile, the second session will begin at 2:30 pm on Friday.
Winter season
Single-shift schools and universities will be open from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm from Monday to Thursday, and remain fuctional till 12:30 pm on Friday, during the winter season.
The morning shift will commence from 8:30 am to 2 pm and the second shift will be functional from 2 pm to 7 pm from Monday to Thursday, in schools with evening shifts. Meanwhile, the second session will begin at 2:30 PM on Friday.
