ISLAMABAD: Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Abdullah Shahriyar announced the successful implementation of a new security system aimed at ensuring the safety of visitors on Margalla Trails. Speaking to news channel on Monday, ASP Shahriyar highlighted the proactive measures taken by the security team, consisting of 60 dedicated patrolling officers, to rescue citizens in distress and provide medical assistance when needed.
He emphasized that the security unit, established under the guidance of Federal Minister for Interior Mohsin Naqvi, comprises foot patrols, motorcycle patrols, and horseback officers equipped with gasoline. This initiative marks a historic step towards enhancing safety measures along the Margalla trails.
ASP Shahriyar assured that the security personnel are on duty around the clock, ready to respond promptly to any emergencies or incidents along the trails. With the commencement of the trails, the presence of officers at key points ensures continuous surveillance and assistance to visitors.
Furthermore, Islamabad Police officers are committed to enhancing field patrolling in their respective beat areas, prioritizing crime prevention and ensuring the safety of citizens from potential threats, including wild animals.
