ISLAMABAD: Nestlé has announced an additional investment of $60 million in Pakistan, underscoring its long-term commitment to the country and its confidence in the reform-driven economic agenda, according to an official statement issued from Davos, Switzerland.

The announcement was made during a high-level Business Roundtable chaired by Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue, Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting on January 22, 2026.

The roundtable brought together chief executives and senior leaders of leading multinational corporations to discuss Pakistan’s investment climate, reform trajectory, and long-term growth potential.

Remy Ejel, Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer for Asia, Oceania, and Africa at Nestlé, informed participants that the company will undertake a robust expansion of its operations in Pakistan.

The global giant, already having long-term commitments in Pakistan, intends to develop the country as a regional manufacturing and export hub, exporting products to 26 countries.

Ejel expressed strong confidence in Pakistan’s economic outlook, citing the country’s demographic profile, growing nutrition needs, and underpenetrated value-added food segments as key growth drivers.

Nestlé’s investment builds on previous engagements with the Finance Minister in Islamabad, where the company outlined its strategy focused on localisation, advanced manufacturing, sustainability, and agricultural transformation.

According to the Government of Pakistan, Nestlé has also advanced technology-driven manufacturing with highly automated facilities, increased use of renewable energy, improved packaging solutions, and digitalised supply chains to boost efficiency while reducing environmental impact.

Senator Muhammad Aurangzeb welcomed Nestlé’s announcement, describing it as a “strong vote of confidence in Pakistan’s economic reforms and formalisation drive,” according to the official press release.

He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to strengthening the tax ecosystem, ensuring policy consistency, and facilitating responsible long-term investment through continued engagement with the private sector, including via the Tax Policy Office within the Finance Division.

The Finance Minister further highlighted Pakistan’s opportunities in affordable nutrition, climate-resilient dairy, localised sourcing, and export-oriented manufacturing, emphasising the government’s resolve to position the country as a competitive base for regional production and global value chains.
